We are home
On February 6th, we officially became the owners of the property that will become Meadowspring Farm. We could not be more humbled and grateful for this blessing God has given us. For six years, we’ve prayed and searched for where the ministry God placed in our hearts would be planted and take root — and now, we are finally here.
There were moments along the way when the dream felt close enough to touch, and other seasons when it felt far beyond our reach. We walked through closed doors, long waits, and quiet questions. But through it all, the calling never left. The vision of creating a safe, restful space for foster and adoptive families remained steady in our hearts.
And now, we are standing on the soil that will become that space.
This land will become Meadowspring Farm — a small but peaceful property set apart for rest and renewal. Tucked among the trees stands a farmhouse built in 1790, weathered by time and filled with stories we may never fully know. Though it is in need of significant renovation, we see in it the beginning of something sacred.
One day, this will be a place where weary families can step beneath the trees and breathe deeply. A place where children can explore winding paths through the woods, where laughter rises through open windows, and where no one feels the weight of explanation or expectation — only the freedom to be. A place free of judgment and full of grace.
Right now, it may look like peeling paint, worn floors, and long lists of repairs. It may look like trees waiting to be cleared, fences yet to be built, and dreams still forming. But we see more.
We see a table where stories are shared without hurry. We see small boots by the door and coffee cups warming tired hands. We see chickens scratching at the edge of the woods (with Oliver proudly keeping watch). We see Bella, our gentle Great Pyrenees, faithfully guarding both flock and family. We see Cupcake and Beans finding sunny places to stretch. We even see goats in our future — because what is a farm dream without goats? We see a home made new — not just by renovation, but by the love and refuge it will offer.
What stands today as four wooded acres and a timeworn farmhouse will, Lord willing, become sacred ground.
More than animals and fences, though, we see sweet moments. We see tired parents resting their shoulders. We see conversations unfolding without hurry. We see children discovering joy in simple things — collecting eggs, feeding animals, sitting in the grass. We see families feeling seen, understood, and not alone.
For six years, this ministry has lived in our prayers, late-night conversations, and whispered hopes. Now it has an address.
We know this is only the beginning. There will be long days of work ahead. There will be building, repairing, planting, and preparing. But today, we pause in gratitude.
Because after years of waiting, praying, and trusting —
We are home.
As we step into this new season, we invite you to pray with us and for us. The hard work of building, planting, and preparing begins now, and we know we cannot do it alone. Pray that we would be faithful stewards of this vision God has entrusted to us. Pray for the families who will one day find rest here. And if you feel led, follow along as Meadowspring Farm takes shape — we cannot wait to share what God will do.
